Small Group Communication is a 3000-level course that is required for many Communication Studies programs and is also taken by students majoring in Business, General Studies, Logistics, Public Relations and others. The materials covered during the semester-long course are designed to help students understand theories and concepts related to small group communication as well as to be able to apply learned concepts to a variety of group contexts. The curriculum is structured to give students an opportunity to discover course concepts through reading, lecture, discussion and activities. The assessment portion of the class is made up of two group projects, three exams, reading quizzes and individual papers.
