This is a syllabus for a semester length seminar aimed at exposing upper-class public relations students to the application of public relations work in a firms setting. The application and analysis of public relations agency operations and counseling are actualized through the implementation of class agencies. Students learn the evolution of public relations firms, relevant public relations management issues and theory, as well as principles and theories of counseling clients. The students work in groups (firms) throughout the duration of the semester. Prior to course enrollment students should have successfully completed a Public Relations Foundation and Public Relations Writing course. This class has been taught successfully with 24-26 students.
