Dr. Mary Weber worked in an international corporate headquarters as corporate training manager as well as professional programs and services director. Dr. Weber directed new store openings domestically and internationally, consulted failing franchise stores, and assisted in the transition plan for a major acquisition.

Dr. Weber was former senior vice president for the Louisiana Restaurant Association. She developed professional programs, educational and training services, as well as established the Louisiana Restaurant Association’s Education Foundation.  Dr. Weber is credited with the development and launch of two state certification programs for the foodservice industry – ServSafe® - Food Safety Certification and Louisiana’s BEST© - Alcohol Server Training.   Dr. Weber was instrumental in orchestrating ProStart® - High School Culinary and Restaurant Management Program, a Scholarship Program, and several other educational programs and initiatives supporting career opportunities in the restaurant industry.

Dr. Weber defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Grenoble, France for the doctorate of business administration program in 2006.  Dr. Weber received a master’s of arts in organizational management from the University of Phoenix, Louisiana in 1998 and a bachelor of arts in business management from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay 1984.

Currently, Dr. Weber is faculty for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh – Life Long Learning and Community Engagement; and the University of Phoenix School of Business and School of Advanced Studies.
